You will not be traded for a star teammate no matter if youre a high rated player. So keep all of this in mind. The GM will trade you for a low rated player of your position. You must answer all interview questions attempting to be a good teammate and in all cutscene scenarios choose the options that increase your teammate chemistry. This will mess up the method and get you traded normally. Your favorite team will not show interest in you until January when you become a starter. Two things will happen.
After the rookie showcase pick youre favorite team. Be careful when asking for a trade or when the gm asks you who he should trade for. The goof news was the next 3 finals was Chicago vs OKC. This mode is the worst. The key to making your player better is building points and spending them on skills.
Like mutiple MVPs or multiple rings. You can not difficult score off a pass or dribble. You gotta be patient and just play your best. My only gripe is with the online mode, my game always freezes when i want to do online matchups. If you give it some time you see yourself progress by being a bench warmer to a star by the next season or even sooner. Shit talking is big in the NBA and Im willing to get a tech for it. Like ol boy said, all you gotta do is focus on that teammate shit, and earn coins through other modes like blacktop etc. Only on My Career is that shit fucked up. My Career mode is an abomination in 2K14. On some real shit you just suck at 2k myplayer is already at 76overall rookie season in the middle if January I average 35. VC and MyTeam is another story tho. MyCareer and then after his rookie showcase his interviews and all the other shit, the draft comes up but then you know how little kids are he gets drafted in like fucking 27th pick so we have to wait and listen to that boring old ass man call names out in that slow fucking voice.
VC from association games if u cant build it fast enough in my career. Give your character personality. Also your coach will never sub you out of the game when you our in foul trouble! Yet when I sim between key games, he only puts up numbers like he is only a 80 to 83 overall. They key is to use all of the different game modes and you will earn a lot of VC to use towards increasing your player rating. If I dish out 20 assists a game as a PG for three straight games, my rating should reflect that. Teammate AI is horrendous, and Computer AI and animations are set up solely to try and keep the game close. The GM AI is the worst thing I have ever seen.
The AI coach does this will non user players to. In 2k11 you could sim to the end of every game, so you could go in to every game, only play a quarter or a half to get a nice lead or pad your stats, and then sim to the end. This alone would breathe new life into MyCareer. You should be able to sim games the same way you sim in association. Social Media was a cool idea but it ultimately sucks. Maybe not with the first character I made, but after I had played for a while and got the hang of the game, I was able to score 17 points with limited minutes on my 2nd character in my first game in the NBA. Also, the other teams GMs are simply idiotic, in both my career and association. Half of the stuff you need to do needs to be done mutiple times. NBA 2K for almost 3 years, because I genuinely enjoy playing My Player, but I never get to finish the mode. Anthony Davis foul out in the first half!
The quickest way to get points is scoring and teammate rating. Has that every happened in the history of social media? My Player definitely becomes a chore. What 2K needs to do, is find a way for you to be able to carry your My Player into the next iteration. Why can I only sim to key games, what if I want to play more than just the key games but less than 82? Once again, something I feel is an not difficult not difficult fix. However there are MANY kinks in this damn mode. That is the type a shit that will lose you a customer.
And is a baby. Playing an online game gives you 250 VC off bucks, which is sometimes more than you get playing a single game in MyCareer. NY and LAC at the end of close games. That feature should be in EVERY game on MyCareer, key game or not. VC you rack up. But yes they could make it better, starting with the draft. Step your game up champ.
Hell, playing a quick match gives you VC. If you want a Rasheed Wallace personality, you should be able to do it by wylin during the game. No matter how man social media fans I have, no matter what my stats are, no matter how many votes I get. IF I SEE CP3 GO TO THE CAVS WITH KYRIE OR LEBRON GO TO THE SUNS ONE MORE TIME IM GOING TO BACK HAND BITCH SLAP EVERY 2K DEVELOPER. If they do some of that and fix the bullshit like rebounding, then you got yourself a solid MyCareer. My Career mode is consistently one of the worst features in all of sports games. From friends online, I heard the easiest way to NOT suck at the rookie showcase was to be an athletic guard, either PG or SG. My player will deflect a pass and then I will jam on the joystick to run after then ball, and he will walk instead of run so that the comp can recover the ball.
The shoe editor is ill as fuck, but whats the point if I gotta keep equipping shoes? First season we won the chip and I got finals MVP. Coaches make the dumbest subs. This dude just sucks. VC but what makes my career cool is you can compare your fake guy with real guys, I want to see how my contract stacks up against all the other superstars in the league. It adds to the longevity no doubt, but it just feels cheap as fuck.
It should go without saying that this is a super heavy time investment. Seriously, my player would be better off as a waterboy. In this one I fealt like my guy was about as good as you could want after 60 or so games. My Career is still an abomination. Its like actually working! VCs aint really shit for a gold star. Doing this will not only give your press conference answers more choices, but also give the widely useless emotion stat some life. The thought that Imma have to do it all again in 2k14 got me sweating WOO.
OKC in the finals to win it all, to having a terrible finals hangover, to now being back in talks of elite NBA teams. You must slum at 2k13, my player or both. The thing is this is a GAME! He is a 99 overall and without a doubt the best player in the game. It was perfect, why they changed that makes no god damn sense. Players will run through the chest of other players.
It is so frustrating. Jazz and it sucked balls, so I demanded a trade to the Heat, Spurs, or Thunder and ended up in San Antonio. Thunder with deplorable minutes. MyCareer in a long time. So sometimes it works out.
